Mary Kathileen was born and raised in
Virginia
Beach, Virginia, very much raised as a traditional charming
southern bell. Meeting Chris in her early twenties was like
“Officer and a Gentleman” when they eloped and married while
Chris was in Naval flight school. Giving up
her career to stay at home and have two kids & Mastiffs really
has been a blessing. Outside of the home & Mastiffs, Mary is an active member of the MCOA,
Volunteers her time on the board of the Officers Wife’s club,
the local American Red Cross,the
Garden Society of Cape Cod and helps out at the local Humane
shelter. |

Over ten years ago,
during our first tour of duty at Cape Cod, we purchased our
first Mastiff as a family pet. The rest is history from
there. Both of our children were raised & learned to walk
pulling up onto a Mastiffs. We never could have asked for a
better companion for our kids. Two of our Mastiffs out side
of the home earned the title of being therapy dogs; this was a
family event that truly thought all of us not only something
about our selves, but also about how great
this breed truly
is. You can read about our therapy Mastiff, visit the link on
our home page, “Coastie the Coast Guard safety dog ".
Katherine is our
daughter and is now 12 years old;
Christopher II is our son
and is now 10 years old.
Our philosophy on breeding is to produce Mastiffs with the
best temperaments, health and conformation possible, while
always preserving the natural characteristics and instincts of
the breed. Mastiffs are our passion, not a business. We only
breed for betterment of the breed. We have worked extremely
hard over the years to get where we are and we are very proud
of our successes. To date we have produced many champions and
titled Mastiffs including a Mastiff Club Of America National
Specialty BISS winner. For every puppy that bears the Ironclad
name, you can be sure that a whole lot of time and care went
into the planning of that litter. We are here for the life of
all our dogs and all the puppies that leave our home, god
willing.
